Arnold Desks was established in 1978 as a contemporary casegoods manufacturer in Irvington, New Jersey and built a loyal following of customers. A 1980 factory addition doubled production capacity. We outgrew the Irvington facility and in 1985 moved to the current location in Hillside, New Jersey. This facility is two and one half times the size of the previous facility. The company’s reputation as a high quality furniture manufacturer continued to grow. The expanding list of clients especially appreciated the company’s ability to modify existing product lines and also to create completely custom furniture to meet their specifications. The many custom traditional furniture pieces Arnold Desks was manufacturing for their clients led to the introduction of our first standard traditional furniture collections in 1989.

Arnold Desks currently offers four traditional and three contemporary casegoods lines. We continue to modify standard product lines and do completely custom pieces.


Arnold Desks' vision is to provide to our customers the office furniture they want.  Every space is different and standard sized products work well for many situations.  We offer these products.  A lot of office space is not properly utilized because standard sizes are either too small or too large for an area.  This is an inefficient use of costly office space.  The only option has been to hire an expensive custom millwork company.  Arnold Desks offers a better solution.  We are a hybrid corporation whose structure is setup so that we can provide the highest quality, mass produced products as well as the unique custom piece. Working closely with our customers we can modify one of our existing product lines or create a completely custom piece. This maximizes the use of office space and increases productivity.  Many times a customized product is not necessary due to our very extensive standard offering.

Arnold Desks customer service staff communicates directly with the factory, which allows our customers desires to be more clearly understood by our expert craftsmen.  We believe that this makes the level of customer care and service received by our customers far superior to that offered by our competitors.

Arnold Desks philosophy in dealing with any potential customer is to listen to their needs.  Create products to meet those needs and to service those products keeping them in good working order for many years of productive  use.  We believe all our customers are part of the Arnold Desks family.  Time and again we get calls from customers who are expanding and need more furniture.  The comments we receive on the outstanding quality of their existing furniture, some of it fifteen or twenty years old, reinforces our desire to live up to the Arnold standard that created those products.  Simply put our philosophy when dealing with any customer is to craft the finest piece of furniture we know how to make.  Follow that up with outstanding after sale support so that we will continue to receive those calls telling us how well our products hold up.
